Raven Isle 

.... (They sail off to the distant Raven Isle - ok so I was going to delete this, didn't add it to the map then put it back) ....

RAVENWOOD FAIR

The Raven arrived at Raven Isle. In the distance was the sound of music. (Not 'The Sound of Music' (film) - that would be crazy - but the sound of musical instruments.)

The Baron set off into rather scary woods. Strange noises, moving trees and other strange shapes appeared either side of the path. Running and occasionally tripping, Baron Benico finally reached a clearing in the trees.

Night was closing in and The Cat's Lair Tavern looked like an ideal place to spend the night.

"Welcome traveller. Have you been to the fair?"

"Not yet I've just arrived on The Raven."

"A fine ship. The Ravenwood in not a safe place at night. I would recommend a room for the night and travel into the fair tomorrow."

"A mighty fine idea sir. Thank you"

.... The Baron retires to a room for the night.
.... What adventures are there in Ravenwood for Baron Benico? (May 2011) ....

After a purrfect night at the Tavern the Baron set off to explore Ravenwood.

The Baron followed the pebble path, around the edge of the wood, until he reached the Lothlorien Inn. The temptation of a drink or two was too great.

One Pint, Two Pints, erm - and a small snack (not sure they know what a packet of crisps is).

The Baron noticed a sign near the bar. "House to Rent" it read. Ideal, he thought, instead of staying at the Inns every night. After a chat with the Inn Keeper and after handing over a few coins the Baron took the keys for the house. Now he just had to find it.

There was a high hedge across the path from the Inn and behind that was the house. If only getting to it was that easy.

"Turn left as you leave the Inn then turn right at the end of the hedge onto the dirt path. Follow this path until toad pond, then turn right and the house is there. Enjoy your stay in Ravenwood" said the Inn Keeper.

Baron Benico left the Inn and turned.... erm..... left - or right.

Fortunately The Baron turned the right way - well left and followed the pebble path. After forgetting about turning onto the dirt path, distracted by Fair Games, he continued on the path until.....

"AARRGGHH!!" screamed the Baron as he saw a large winged creature in the trees ahead of him. A large Rattlyr statue loomed as high as the tallest trees. A swift turn on his heels and he was soon running back along the path.

By a stroke of luck he found himself running down a dirt path, unfortunately he didn't stop in time and ended up in a pond.

"Toads! I've fallen into a pond full of toads. Not as scary as that giant winged thing I guess." The Baron dragged himself out of the pond and saw a house. Not just any house but the one he should have been at some time ago. "The House. Not all bad today then.

.... The Baron settles into the house and dries off
.... Will I think of more to write?
.... What happened to the Benico Estate and D New Farm (aka Baron Farm)? ....
.... The story finally resumes again (Oct 2012) ....

Having not had the best start to his visit to Raven Isle, the Baron returned to the Raven and the excited Tom
